What should I know about hamsters2007-11-24 22:17:52

I am getting a hamster at the end of the month. I was wondering since my favorite actor and actresses are Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale. What should I name it? Also give me some info on hamsters. Full ANSWERS.

I had a hamster named Gus. (I later found out it was a girl.) I don't know if this is true about all hamsters, but mine was nocturnal. It ran around it's cage and squeaked all night making it hard to sleep. I also had to clean its cage almost daily because it stunk so bad. I finally gave it away to someone who could take better care of it.

They urinate a lot... really... and their cages will smell if you don't clean them every 5 days or so. we had two that had to be separated because they foughts...the names all sound good... good luck

male hamsters have HUGE balls. and i'm not being funny either..i'm totally serious. it's very gross. i had one and when it would climb its ladder to get to it's upper level, his balls would bounce on every step. lol...ok so it is kinda funny, but unless you like looking at hairy balls i suggest getting a female!

No matter how nice your cages are, you hamsters will try to find a way out. They are escape artists. When they get out, that evening get a tall bowl (big enough they cant get climb back out of), and place food in the bottom (to lure them in) and stack books on the side like stairs for them to use to climb into.
