i have a dwarf hamster, and she is the sweetest thing ever, ive had her for about a year, and she has never bitten me, or my little sister. ive heard that some can be kinda mean or scared at first but if u play with them enuf and pet them nicely, after a couple weeks it will trust u and it will be very friendly.

Anything other than a dwarf. They're biters and it hurts. A golden hamster is nice, but a long haired breed would be nicer still! There's actually quite a few breeds of hamster available, but whether or not you'd be able to get one is a different matter.

fancy's deffinetly. I had like 25 of them, they never once bit me and they were always very fun to play w/ and very neat. And they didnt smell either !!! (moms always like that). They are very easy to keep and great fun to play w/ and very lovable

Syrian hamsters try to get an albino one!! I do and he is sooo cute even though he bit me twice at the petstore i just got him today but have other hamsters to!

Definitely a golden hamster. I've had three and they've never let me down. But be sure you handle your hamster for a couple hours a day the first week you get it so it gets used to human handling. That way he/she won't mind being pet or picked up. I've never had a bear hamster, so I wouldn't rule them out, but DON'T get a dwarf. They are prone to aggressiveness. And they bite... hard.

Black bear hamsters are the sweetest hamsters you'll find. They're also extrordinarily soft and love to socialize with you. Unlike other hamsters, our neighboor's is happy to sit with you, and doesn't squeal and squirm to get out their reach or grip. I would seriously look into blackbears if you're getting a hamster : )

Hamsters make good pets but you need to seriously think if you want it. They're nocturnal and all they seem to do is sleep until you do. Then they come out and run around and you won't sleep. But dwarf hamsters are really great. Cute little things with a low temper and a sense of fun!

I think a syrian hamster there very friendly but need a bit of training and tend to be very easy to look after!

any syrian hamster. The dwarf hamsters need to be handled more often while syrians are tamer. Go for a short haired as if it has long hair, you will have to groom it every day.

Cyrian also known as golden. They are friendly and you can tame them easily. It is the best type for children because it is larger and more robust! The other types are smaller and can be a bit nippy / very fast!
