Please share your inspiring stories about how you found your lost Hamster to help inspire others.

My own story,

So I put my little Hammy (Bazal) into his runabout ball tonight and left him to his thing while I checked my e-mail. After a little while I realized I could not hear him any more.

So I went looking to see what he was doing, I found the Ball open and empty ( I guesse I did not attach the top properly). Of course I panicked at first, thinking he got into my Landlords side of the house and got eaten by their husky, they do not even know I have a hamster. I am not suppose to have any pets.

But, I said to myself, what room does he seem to like the best when in his ball, it came to me right away, the kitchen. So I went into the kitchen, put a piece of carrot in the middle of the floor and sat quiet and still.

A few minutes later, he appeared right in front of me, so I snacthed him up. He was only missing about 20 minutes, but it seemed like a life time

well, its not a hampster story but a gerbil story.

i had 2 gerbils..but also 5 cats to go along with it =/. i know..stupid. BUT the thing was i had a LOCKING cover. so i figured impossible to get through.. && i never allowed my door to be open... but one night... i left my room & was like. well i should let some air circulate in here so i left the door open trusting that even if a cat could go in there.. the locking cover would be fine. i ended up falling asleep in the computer room forgetting my door was even open. waking up i went on the computer && actually saw my gerbil running by my feet. as my cat just STARTED AT HIM.mind you this is a whole different room across the hallway.. ofcourse i panicked & ran into my room to find that the WHOLE TANK was knocked over & pretty much in a billion pieces of glass...complete mess. && i was terrified that the other one wouldnt have made it because it was a HIGH fall.. && with all the glass. So.. i caught the one in the computer room..&& then shut my door..cleaned up the mess.. && after not finding the other one.. for about 15 hours i was positive she was just gone.. cat got her & she would b dead. because how could a gerbil survive for that long with 5 cats. soo it ws about 2:30 the next morning ( because i stayed up very late that night). && i saw the other one run across my room!. i was SOO HAPPY!.. it took FOREVER to catch her tho because she was bbehind my drawersbut eventually i did it. wow. it was pretty much a miracle that i got them both back ALIVE. but theres sad news. the one i found in the computer room, had a broken leg that came out of the skin && he eneded up starting to suffer so we got him put to sleep to end his misery. but miraculously.. the one that was found like 20 hours later..that was out for a whoollee day. had nothing wronge, perectly fine, not even a scratch.
