i had a hamster, and 2 weeks ago i moved to another area and i had a problem. nobody would take him. and he was FREE! so it got down to the last 2 days before we left, and i had no choice but to let my domesticated hamster and let him into the wild. and out here in the boondocked countryside, he had no chance. i knew that, but i thought it was best. the next day myy cat had found in the barn, killed him, and dropped him on my porch for me the next morning. im so sorry about your hamster!

I was playing with my hamster, Simon, in my lap. I was watching TV at the same time. Well, I looked down and he was gone. I panicked at first, but then I started thinking logically. I shut my door and turned off everything in my house. I heard him trying to climb up onto my bed. It was fairly easy because he had only been gone for a minute or two. I don't know what I would do if he got out of my room. My second hamster got out of his run-about ball too, but I found him about a foot from the ball and caught him.

My Riker was a escape artist...always escaping from his cage...no matter what kind of cage i got him or how well we fix it so he can't get lose..he would always escape...

We finally gave up and new he was ok...All I had to do when I got home was say...Ok Riker, where are you?.and he would come out and stand on his back legs as if to say...Here I am Mommy, come and get me...

He passed away at age 5 & 1/2 years old...

Well no hamster stories... Guinea pig though. When I was at Victoria beach ( my lake) I had Wilbur on his leash and all of a sudden he ran out of it I panicked (of course) but after about 5 minutes of looking in the raspberry bushes we found Wilbur with the help of my dad and the cab driver!
