A wheel so it can run , and a house where it can hide , and some wood to chew on is about all they need. Food and water of course. Poscicle sticks make good chew toys but may be a bit soft. Cardboard tubes like toilet rolls they may chew for bedding or they will hide in them. If your hamster is big make sure he cant get stuck.

Well, hamsters love to come out of their cage to run around and play. Get a hamster ball for it to run around in. They love it! But after every use, clean it out! You never know if they left a surprise in there!I change my hamster's cage once a week. You should also rinse the cage out too. Don't use detergent! The chemicals are bad for the hamster. Use gentle cleaning soap to wash it. After cleaning, let it dry for about 20-30 min. Then, place the bedding in. Good luck!
