i have two girl mice r there any fresh fruits or veggies i can serve them instead of just that normal store bagged food! And what type of food do u feed a sick mouse!
Answers:Sick mice should just eat mouse lab block to make sure that they get all their nutrients and not just what's tasty. Apple sauce is good for sick rodents though because it keeps them hydrated.
Pretty much if you can eat it, they can it. I'd stay away from mushrooms though.
Mice can have non-citrus fruits and most veggies are fine. Lima beans and shelled peas are a favorite. They can also have dandolion leaves provided they aren't sprayed with insecticide or anything, and parsley stalks. Cooked rice and pasta is good. Irish (whole) oatmeal, stale bread, a little hard boiled egg and yolk. Mice should have no more than 5-10% protein, and most store bought mixes for mice have more because they also are made for rats. Mice are primarily herbivores and rats are omnivores who need more protein, so its not a good thing that mixes are made for both.
