you can feed them all sorts. feed them lettuce, though NOT iceberg, other leafy greens such as curly kale, cabbage, celery, cucumber and broccoli (though sparingly as it causes gas, which can be fatal), bell peppers, grapes, banana, baby corn (our piggies love this), corn on the cob (give them the whole cob - it is good for their teeth and more interesting for them) carrot (not too much as it is high in sugar) plums, strawberries, apples (though you must be careful with these as some guinea pig breeds have weak membranes in their lips and the acid makes their lips go scabby and sore, and the apple pips must be removed), oranges, tomatoes...

the diarrhoea is probably caused by feeding too much watery foods, such as iceberg lettuce, but if the diarrhoea continues after changing the diet, please consult a vet as there may be a bigger problem.

they also need a constant supply of hay, and they can be given fresh grass (even better, they can graze on grass on the ground in a run, which they need to provide exercise.) they also need some form of dry food - buy a guinea pig food mix or some form of guinea pig pellets. and remember, they MUST have a fresh supply of water. you also need to give them vitamin supplements, as they cannot produce vitamins themselves, and it is vital for their survival.
