What type of hampster is best for breeding

I always try to talk people out of breeding their small animals, unless they are becoming a licensed/certified breeder of that animal. Not all states require a licence to breed. But you do need to know what you're doing and be able to provide not only proper care and housing for them, but have a mating pair that are genetically healthy and free of any health problems. This is very expensive and can run into the $1000's for all the tests and lab work on just 2. A breeding quality small animal depending on breed can run in the $100's. A breed quality Syrian hamster is no less them $25 and that's not a high quality one. Mine were vet checked prior to breeding and it ran me over $300 per hamster just for x-rays on my females and I had 13 of them.
