What type of hamster is easiest to take care of and is least expensive
an imaginary one.
Teddy bear hamsters are rather inexpensive (generally under ten dollars). They are the largest of the domestic hamsters and live about two and a half years to three years.
They are easy to care for. All you need for them is a cage (a local pet store provider can show you the appropriate size for your hamster) with a wheel and maybe some tunnels. Toilet paper tubes make good tunnels. You'll also need food, a water bottle, maybe some treats, and some bedding. Carefresh or Aspen Bedding worked best for me when I still had hamsters, for it kept oders at bay (as long as you clean the cage weekly).
Hamsters are hardy little pets which are especially good for children. Make sure to socialize your new friend, or you could have a biter.
Hamsters can be obtained at pet stores, breeders, or sometimes animal shelters.
If unsure- check the local paper or call a pet store.
Hope this helped!
They are all the same but for a first time hamster owner i would get a syrian hamster ( more commonly known as teddy bear hamsters) because they are bigger and easier to hold and they don't bite as much as dwarfs! Good luck!
? if you have to ask the price of a hamster, you can't afford one!
Get a syrian hamster. The males especially are so incredibly sweet natured and laid back. You can understand how this breed got the cute nickname "teddybear", because thats exactly what they are like.
They are large hamsters, and because of this they need very big cages, infact the biggest one you can possibly buy really. The bigger the cage, the happier the hamster.
Syrians are easier to take care of because they are slower than the dwarfs and russian hamsters, so are easier to handle and create a bond with. They also love human contact and socialise well out of the cage. Smaller breeds are very well known for their bad temper, and biting, but you will not experiance this with a syrian hamster.
