I had hamsters (both the Syrians and dwarfs) all my life. They make good pets (especially the Syrians). I had a mouse, and he was nice, but he was sick and died young. I would recommend gerbils. I got 2 last week, and I just love them. They're so much friendlier than hamsters (hamsters are biters, I have a permanent scar on my lip to prove it!). Make sure you read up on whatever pet you decide to get, there's tons of good info on the net.

Guinea pigs are great. rabbits to tho. it depends on you. like if you have little time a hamster. a pet more like a dog ferrets or rabbits. a pet sociable and cudly but not needy a guinea pig. i have all of those right now. in fact im getting another rabbit soon. :-)

Gerbil or a Hamster, they are both good pets.

My choices would be

1 Hamster, I have 3 at the moment, and they are very cuddly and sweet

2 Rabbit, are very mess, but are so fuzzy and cute

3 Gerbil, they have a bad rep for biting, but are very nice and you may cuddle with them
