WHAT IS BEST THING TO GIVE HAMPSTER FOR THEIR TEETH?

There are some great tasty treats to give hamsters to keep their teeth trimmed down nicely.

Its sounds odd, but plain dog biscuits are recommended, and hamsters love them! Also hamster cereal bars are available from all pet stores to hang in their cage. I have also found places like "pets at home" sell dried out corn on the cob for hamsters too.

Treat your hamster to nuts that are still encased in their shells like monkey nuts, hazelnuts, brazil nuts ect. It will keep them busy for hours trying to get through the shell to the nut, and is great at preventing bar chewing (which can cause brain damage in hamsters)

Dried pasta shells are also fine for hamster to nibble on. Carrots are also good for the teeth.

carrots or you can buy wooden toys that they can chew on. if you are worried that your hamsters teeth are getting too long then you may have to take it to the vets to get its teeth clipped.

You can get little flavoured blocks at pet shops also if you have any frut trees in your garden they love to chew on them mine loved the branches of our apple tree but if its teeth get to long take it to vet cos it will be unable to eat he can then trim them for you.

The best chew toy/aid for your hamsters is kiln dried pine blocks, that are NOT treated or flavored. Also, in addition to that, I have given mine hard dog biscuits, cook beef bones and dried ORGANIC apple branches.
