I've put in peanut butter, but the mice are ingoring it. I want to put something strong, but enticing smelling so I can catch them. I found some droppings near my cooker this morning, and, once again, it has given me the creeps!
Answers:Chocolate gets them every time.
smelly food.
cheese :)
How about... hmm... cheese?? Stinky cheese.
If the mice are ignoring the Pbutter they must be finding other food sources that are easier to obtain, make sure all food is put away and clean everything including crumbs.
Milky way - trust me, I know from experience they love it !
Put poop in a toaster next to the trap then start it toasting. Put it on the bagel setting though. You don't want to burn both sides.
dog food or cat food works well!
I got one with a malteeser stuck to the bit for the cheese, they love chocolate biscuits too.
I found that I caught mice better by putting buttery bread or cake in the traps. Years ago one used to come in my bedroom and gnaw under the bed. I had enough and at 3 in the morning, we got up and emptied the room of furniture. The last item was the bed, when we lifted it and there was this tiny little field mouse. My partner chased it with a hammer, trying to hit it. The mouse was too fast. It was very funny, you had to be there. Next morning, the neighbours asked what we were getting up to during the night. That was funny as well. Good luck catching your mice.
mice are the only thing you wanna have in your trap
