As long as you dont get them below 2 months you are good. If they are younger than you have more time to bond with them.If they are older they may have some people problems.

if you mean you age i would say anytime as long as you have the time and money for them. They need to be played with at least an hour a day.

It doesn't really matter. Guinea pigs live for 6-8 years or so. In my opinion it is best to go to your local shelter and adopt an adult guinea pig. Save a life, you'll feel really good about it and get a great pet too!!

Just make sure to handle the pig and make sure it is healthy. That's all that really matters.

As with most animals the best age to buy a guinea pig at is when they are still a baby so they grow to trust you and you can form a special bond with them. But it is true that there are a lot of perfectly healthy guinea pigs in shelters that allready trust humans but don't get the one to one attention they deserve. If you are the kind of person that likes to be the one and only in your pets eyes then go for a baby but if you have a sympathetic heart and want to give a guinea pig a better life then get one from a shelter. It's really up to you what you get and they are all so sweet it really doesn't matter.

if you want to take care of it and just have it in the home with children. 3-4 year old. if you want to teach the child to care for it and expect them to keep it alive with no help 12 -13. if you are willing to help with cage changing but thing the child should take care of the feeding and watering 7-8 years old. as for guinea pig ages get one young maybe a month old then it is no longer a baby but not yet fully grown. if you get 2 and keep then in the same cage for breeding get them 3-4 months old.

The best age to buy a guinea pig is 6 months.Most pet stores sell them when they are about 2 to make sure they are healthy and ready to be sold. Dont buy them from just a nomal person that breeds them at there house though becuase they havent been tested for dieses yet so your better off getting one from petco.

It's just a matter of preference. To me, it's never mattered. I adopted my last pig at about 8 months old. But I would have adopted him no matter his age.

It doesn't really matter, it comes down to preference in the end. I got both of my girls at 3 months of age, most guinea pigs sold at a pet store are younger than that though (Sometimes too young). The majority of guinea pigs brought from a rescue or shelter are older, but guinea pigs can live for up to 10 years (with the guiness world record being 14 years and 5 months) so it doesn't really matter
