A "treat" is something you do not give on a regular basis.

Treats can include fruits like an apple slice, an orange slice, strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, or sliced seedless grapes. Please be sure to remove any seeds from the fruit before giving it to your piggie, since the seeds can be poisonous.

Also considered a treat is carrot! Even though it is a vegetable, it is high in sugar. They are by far a favorite of piggies. :)

Don't get your piggie any yogurt or seed treats from the pet store. These are very bad for your little buddy.

Alfelfa or any other hay like substance. Guinea pigs like that. They also sell little yougert and fruit treats for them. Make sure you are giving it a healty diet, vegetabels are also a favorite. Throw in some celery or a carrot and you have a happy guinea pig. Also, on a different note make sure you take the pig out and play with it a lot. This is a treat for it to. Becides it is fun to play with them.
