Thats like asking the difference between a rabbit and a mouse because they are both rodents.

Guinea Pigs, in my experience, are noisy, dont climb, run, are pack animals, a little bit messy, very docile and cuddly when trained right and fairly large as far as rodents go. They are native to the Ades if memory serves.

Hamsters, also in my experience, are small, often nippy, tiny, clean, fairly silient, skittish and hyper active. Similar personality wise to a mouse, but a very differnet look.

To be honest I really dont see how a guinea pig can be confused with a hamster, but I have had all kinds of rodents all my life and am used to them.

Wow, use spell check. They are both rodents so they are alike but there are alot of things that are different about them. Guinea pigs are alot larger and hamsters are alot smaller. Hamsters need less food and they just eat hamster food. While Guinea pigs need alfalfa and other things to eat besides just Guinea pig food.
