I Would Like To Buy A Fairly Young Chinchilla.

Answers:

Do not buy at a pet store! You do not know what you are getting and the chins are often kept in conditions which are not suitable or healthy.

Try and buy from a breeder who will often give lots of info and offer back up if you have any problems. Breeders will know the history of the animal, the parents and quite often the grandparents too! I have a 10 week old baby for sale and I will only sell to someone who I judge is going to be a good and responsible owner. My first thought is for the welfare of the chin, not the money it will bring.

well where i live you can go to the local pet store and buy one for about $40-$50. but i dano if thats the same for you. call all the local pet stores. you might be lucky!
