You can get them at a grocery store with a reliable pet section. I like meijer, but I don't know if that's nationwide or not... They're a couple dollars there.

Or, you can ask around. I'm sure someone somewhere has a pet hamster they don't want. Try around your neighborhood. Many people will give you their cage and everything, just to get rid of it. (we did that once, but the hamster already died, and so it was just the cage, but we didn't want another)

The worst kinds of hamsters are cheap ones. They are dirty and stuff and will die. The cheapest one I've seen is $14.99.

if your looking for a good hamster, at a cheap price, the lowest you can get some are at the price of $7.00 at petsmart and petco. but, you have to get the cage which is like 20, and the food 5, and the igllo and excerise ball and wheel, it all adds up! so, you should start saving up because if you dont have at least 60 dollars, then your doomed.
