Where can i buy a heathly hamster? i want to buy a healthy one if you know what i meen.

I used to get hamsters at small pet stores when I was younger. I never had problems with them.

Is there a reason you're set on hamsters though? Ever consider a rat. You need to dispel your ideas that rats are disgusting animals and focus on them as intelligent creatures. They have much more personality than hamsters, tend to be more friendly, and you can teach them tricks!!

At a well known garden centre. They are the best place, rather than buying privately. I've had loads of hamsters from garden centres and one of them lived for up to 4 years, and all the others survived at least 2!

Go to the petstore and have a good inspection of them, Make sure they have clear eyes, dry and clean fur.

You can buy a healthy hamster at Petco or at Petsmart but hamsters are much more cheaper at Petco! You can tell if the hamster is healthy if it active, alert, ( that is when he/her is awake) walks normal, eyes are clear, nose is not runny, and if it breathes regularly oh and if it is eating and drinking! If you aren't really sure you can get a hamster health sheet at Petco and it will tell you all the signs of a healthy hamster! Oh i forgot make sure there fur is nice clean, shiny and it doesn't have any patches of fur missing!

You can get a healthy hamster at just about any pet store or breeder. But you will need to give it a good visual inspection. Make sure the eyes are clear and bright. The fur nice and shiny. No signs of wet anything. They should also be pretty active. Good luck with finding one.
