It is also a very bad idea for guinea pigs to live outside. They can die in weather that is too hot or too cold. They are also more likely to die of disease or get attacked by a wild animal.
I had an outdoor guinea pig as a child and the neighbor's dog got loose and broke into it's metal cage and killed it. I was 12 and had to clean up the bloody remains of my pet and throw him away. It was awful.
Guinea pigs can be wonderful pets, but they make better pets when they are not allowed to breed and are housed indoors.
I'm sorry but getting male and female would not be smart!! They would breed and your female would probobly die!!
