Answers:The 1st one looks alot better, and I doubt you would be able to put them together. Talk to a worker @ Petsmart. They'll be sure to help.

Both are to small for your hamster. I don't know why they sell those dang things..
go to www.hamsterhideout.com and check out the cages and you will gain so much info from the forum.

They both look fine, but yes, most plastic tube cages can be connected in some manner. They sell extra plastic tunnels and extra tunnel links, so you could buy a couple extra tunnels and connect the 2 cages together. Your hamster would probably love that. :-)

It also seems easier to be able to take the hamster out if you want to handle him/her.
