Bunnies-
Really don't bond quickly and can get pretty skiddish. They can be playfull, but not as playfull as a guinea pig.
Guinea pig- Does bond, but may take a bit of time, say, a week. If you get 2(Which you should) then they won't be jumpy. Fairly playfull, but not as much as a hamster
Hamster- Some bite a lot, others never at all. I am not sure how well they recognize you, but extremly fun to work with
I would say a hamster for playfulness, but a guinea pig for a pet that you can consider a friend.
My favourite is a bunny. You can buy dwarf Dutch bunnies. They are little.
Definetly bunnies. They are so cute. I have the nicest bunny in the world. He has never bitten me. He is a lop eared. But anyways get a bunny. They are the hardest of the three to take care of. They also need a much bigger cage the then others. So you must be able to spend lots of money on it. They need their nails trimmed also. Hamster.
RATS!! and i don't mean the big sewer rats. You can save them from being eaten by a snake by buying a feeder rat. They are only about a dollar!! Get a young one so you can bond with it. They are so cute and have great personalities! hamsters and gerbils are cute.but they nip and bite and don't like being held or played with. my 2 rats climb up into the corner of their cage and beg to be held when you come into the room! hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, and guinea pigs just sleep and eat and poop. rats like to cuddle and be petted all the time!! rats are very smart, personable creatures! i love them and wouldn't trade them for the world!! they are also very clean animals!!
rodents by nature, are nocturnal, so you arent going to get much playfullness out of a rodent. Bunnies & guinea pigs are the most socialable out of the 4. ~ IF you handle them often when they are young. I have never met a guinea pig that got along with me. My uncle had a white one named "Marshmello", he whistled every time he was hungry or when he wanted something different like lettuce or an orange. But he wasnt playfull.
