they can be in a smaller cage.. and they leave smaller presents.. haha!
I for one don't like either but Ive had hamsters and everyone likes them better
rats r the best choice..i had 4 at one time and they never ran away or bit me..it was soo cool..mice r to small to deal with and rats r easier to tame..
Rats, definitely. Mice are smaller but they're simple-minded, and just don't bond with you the way a rat does. It doesn't mean mice can't be great pets, I just feel that rat is more of a friend to you than a mouse is, and has a bit more intelligence and personality.
i think mice. rats scare me. i love animals but mice have the upper hand. i think they're soooooo cute. LOL!
I have had and bred (for pets) both mice and rats. I personally prefer rats.
While my mice were all friendly enough (I have NEVER been bitten by either rats or mice), they tended to be nervous. They seemed to always be looking for someplace else to go.
My rats on the other hand have all been very friendly and affectionate. I have one male right now who likes to lick you while getting his neck scracthed.
While rats can be trained, I have never personally tried it. However, I liken rats to little dogs in cages. They LOVE attention, they climb the cage to see you when you walk in the room.
