Which is better for my hamster? bottled water or Tap water( the water is a bit hard)

we have kind of the same dilemma. we have well water. i would say the bottled water. it does not have chemicals like chlorine and other things in it. we give our pets bottled water. if we don't drink it our pets ain't going to drink it either

I really dont thing it matters that much, but if it makes you feel better give him the bottled water. You only need to worry about your water if it has any sort of color to it like green, blue, or yellow. Then its not safe for even you to drink.

Hampsters are pretty adaptable to either. If you have concerns about the tap water being so harsh, then go with bottled water. Watch out though, they just found out that Aquafina water is actually tap water. The cheaper way is to get a water filter to filter out the added metals and chemicals in the water.

when it come to water and animals they thing to remember is if you wouldn't drink your animal shouldn't drink it. there's nothing wrong with tap water if its clean

Well, my sister has a hamster and she uses distilled water. I've watch the water bottle and the water doesn't seem to go that fast. I would most definitely pick the bottled water.

usually either is fine, but the general thing to think about is that as long as its safe for human consumption, its safe for your hamster to drink (not saying that for FOOD, just for WATER). your hamster most likely won't reject water from either a water bottle or from the tap, so its mostly personal preference- if you'd feel more comfortable having your hamster have bottled water, go right ahead, but having to keep on getting bottled water can be a hassle, so that's why most people just use tap water (which is usually perfectly safe unless there's a reason why people can't drink it)
