I would recommend that you use a litter pan, because then, 1). The hamster cage won't stink, 2). It's better for you, because the urine won't go in your nose during the day, and, it's heathier not just for you, but for your hamster too!

hamsters dont pee all over the cage, they choose just the one spot and stick to it. If you want to try your hamster with a litter pan, look out for where his wee spot is and place the litter pan there.

i tried this with my hamster about 4 months after i got him, and he showed lots of interest in it, but he thought it was a toy to hide in and run through, then attempted to eat the litter!! Needless to say, I took it out and just let him carry on peeing as before.

The litter pans are great because they reduce odur and is more hygenic for your hamster, but a bedding product called carefresh which you use all over the floor of the cage does the same job.

Well i think it would be better to have a litter box so it doesn't go in its food and where it sleeps! And it will be easier to clean the cage with a litter box than without!

My hamsters wee in one corner of the cage. I wouldn't use a hamster toilet because they don't really need it because in the wild they would wee any where.

let it go where it pleases. hamsters aren't like humans, or anyone other living thing that has a thing to go in. hamsters go where they please. you would have to train them to use the little pan & that would take forever. hamters aren't the quickest learners! i hope this helped. good-bye (=
