You know, I have four different boars and they all have different personalities. One is a cuddler and comes right up to you when you approach the cage, another is a cuddler AND a nibbler, another is an explorer who doesn't like to be held, and another is a pig that doesn't like to be cuddled but likes to be near you (he'll lay right next to you). I've only ever had boars, but I imagine that regardless of their sex, their friendliness really is dependent on their individual temperament.

They say that boars have more personality, in terms of who is more friendlier it really comes down to how you treat the piggy and the personality of the guinea pig. Personally I don't think that there is any difference at all, I have 2 lovely girls, who really like cuddles, enjoy my company and each others company and are a bless to have.

If they are both socialized then they'll both be very friendly I have to males and they have great personalities and are friendly.

boars do seem to be more friendlier,but with time and patience like any animal a sow can be made to be just as friendly

Both of my sows are very friendly, but my friend has two boars who are equally as friendly.I think it depends on how much socializing with their humans they get for the most part :)

I agree with accanoffleas. All pigs can be different. I have 2 boars, totally different personalities. One is a cuddler who loves to be held, popcorns around all the time, climbs on me during floor time. The other is more shy and timid, much more nippy than the other, and only wants me around when he chooses.

It's about socialization and different personalities. I doubt it has much to do with sex.
