Which kind of rodent is the least agressive
Hamsters are wildley marketed because they are cute, not because they make good pets...
If you want a hamster, your best bet is going to be a black bear, honey bear, tortoise shell, or calico, they are the most exspensive, but the best behaived...
Guinea Pigs are not aggressive, but they are VERY timid and need more care than other small animals, but if you are willing to put in the extra work and time, they will get used to you and tend to act like little dogs...
Gerbils, are rather sensitive animals...They need an experienced handler...
Mice, tend to be kind of hard to tame and smell bad...I really do not reccomend mice...
RATS! RATS RATS RATS!
Rats are the all around BEST small animals to own...they tame very easily, learn very quickly, are very loving, smell the least, don't cost much to up keep...
They are wonderful pets!

We've found that fancy rats and guinea pigs are the least aggressive of the rodents. Hamsters (especially the dwarf ones), gerbils, and others tend to be biters and nippers.
Rats! They are super smart! You can teach them to come & they are sweet!
you are least likely to be bitten by a guinea pig. i think the stats that i read said that only 1 in 400 guinea pigs is prone to biting.
