Which pet should I get
Piggies make nice pets.. they do enjoy being held.. they do like to explore some too tho. They are vocal too and will squeak and chirp at you when they want/need something.. or just to greet you.
Im trying to think of other caged pets.. ferrets are playful, chinchillas tend to be timid. Sugargliders are neat.. you can carry them around in your pocket, but they are high maintenence.
As far as rodent style pets go, guinea pigs are good. Hamsters don't really interact and can be really skittish. The smaller ones are really bad about that. Cage maintenance is always an issue, but if you've had rats, you already know about that. I like cats and fish.

roborovski's are the smallest and fastest and most sociable hamster out of the dwarf hamsters they luv doing things together...siberian hamstersluv socialising too and so does campbell and winter white...winter whites turn white when it comes to the winter then as winter goes past they gradually get they're colour back...but all dwarf hamsters are enjoyable pets =D
LOL if you think rats run off a lot, hamsters do that worse but they are smaller and much harder to find. Hamsters bite much more than rats do as well. There is a breed of hamster that is black and very mellow but they cost a bit more than normal ones.
