Hamsters are a lot cheaper than guinea pigs especially robo dwarf hamsters.They are not expensive and are very small.They cost around $12.They only grow up to 2 inches.I have 6 and i've never had any problem with them.They are very sweet,too.

well hamsters are smaller and i think cheaper and i like them better than guinea pigs they are cleaner and the only noise you get from them are little scratchy noises and sometimes a squeaky wheel but guinea pigs make lots of noise and never seem to quiet down

well hamsters are so much smaller and cost less ($5-9 @ pet smart) but they only live for a couples months to a year. they are real fun to have. i have six. guinea pigs cost more ($25 @ aqua zoo) but they live longer. i would deff. go for the hamster because they are more cuddly.

I have two hamsters and I used to have a guinea pig. Hamsters are a lot easier to take care of. Their cages don't have to be cleaned for about 2 weeks. Guinea Pigs are a lot of hassle because they start to smell really bad and they shed a lot, but htey are really nice animals. My suggestion is that you go to the pet store or breeder and hold both, then decide which one you like the most because it isn't always about how cute the animal is. It is about how much responsibility and love you are going to show to the animal.
