Which sweet stuff is good for guinea pigs strawberries
I heard someone gives strawberries to their guinea pigs. can they eat that? what sweet things can they eat?
Answers:Strawberries are fine to give your guinea pig. Apples, banana, blueberries, cantaloupe, grapes, oranges, watermelon, etc are also ok for GP's. Look at http://guinealynx.info/diet_fruit.html... for more ideas.
However, ALL fruit should be given in moderation. Too much can cause diarreha, diabetic problems, and other serious issues. An occasional treat is fine, but don't overdo it.
You can feed them a variety of fruits including strawberries, oranges, melon, apple, banana, peaches, etc. (feed citrus in low quantities, because the acid can lead to mouth sores)
They especially love the tops of the strawberries (the part with the little green leaves). I always just slice off the tops & leave just a bit of the fruit with it.
Fruits to feed include strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, banana, apple, orange, blueberries, and seedless grapes. Be sure that all seeds are removed before giving them to your piggie, as they can be toxic. Personally, I stay away from pitted fruits like peaches or cherries, but I've heard some people feed those too.

I've had guinea pigs since 4th grade, and they will eat Anything you give them. So as long it's okay for them to eat, they'll gobble it down. (the little piggys!). Some do have their own taste of course and may not like something, but all of mine loved romain lettuce (don't give them ice burg), Grapes, carrots, melon (cantolope), and any kind've treats you can find in a pet store.

guinea pigs luv strawberries. it is ok 2 give ur guinea pig strawberries. i dont no wat u mean by 'sweet stuff' but any kind of fruit or veggie is ok. except lettuce. a leaf every other day. i think the rest is fine. my mind is kind of low right now.
