Who knows where I could find more fancy hybrid rats2007-11-24 22:19:08

I have two fancy hybrid rats and I would like to get another because mine were in a cage with about 10 and now it's two so I was planing on getting another for them.

Your best bet would be to look up breeders in your area.

It's already been suggested but here it is again google works pretty well.

The Rat and Mouse club is also a good place to look.

i would look up on your google search. fany hybrid rat breeders. and all the breeders should pop up. good luck and i hope this helped.

this is a directory of rat breeders and mouse breeders. it should have all the information you need. i believe it has a state by state breakdown of breeders. all i can tell you is that some people are very leery of selling rats so make sure you are specific in letting them know these are pets only rats for you. i'm only telling you from experience. some breeders are pains in the a**. good luck and i hope this helps!!

There is no such thing as a hybrid rat. They are all the same species. They simply have different hair colors. Make sure your cage is big enough for the amount of rats you want. Pet stores often severly overcrowd them. Multiply the length, times height, times width of your cage and divide it by 3456. The resulting number will tell you how many rats will fit comfortably in the cage. www.martinscages.com makes nice cages for rats, particularly the R 680 and above are the ones appropriate for 3 or more rats.
