to you its a furry pet to the peruvians its as much a part of their food source as chicken is to us

to say that one animals life is above another just because we view that animal as a pet is wrong

all animals reared for food be that chicken, cow, pig, sheep, horse, guineapig, cat or dog [insert whatever else your culture views as food] should have a good quality of life and a quick humane death

be more worried about how your food is reared and slaughtered, than one furry having rights over another. refusing intensive farming methods is much more important

and im a committed omnivore no veggie freak here

Yeah that's terrible! I recently did a report on Peru, that's where I first heard it. But I also learned Peru is an extremely poor country. They take what food they can afford, I suppose.

Naw, it's fine. They were bred originally as food. We're the ones making pets out of food animals. If everyone started keeping chickens as pets would that make them any less good as food?
