If it's not weaned yet, then there's has a 90%-100% death rate to try and hand raise one. A wildlife rehab. center should be contacted or the local humane society. It should be put it back where it was found for the mother to care for and you can watch over it from afar. Jack rabbits are born with their eyes open and ready to hop. Keep your cousin's cat inside for a few days or longer for the rabbits safety. Mother rabbits only feed their young twice a day and leave the nest all day to keep predators away from the nest, but as you know it doesn't always work.

"True orphans or injured babies need to be taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center. If you suddenly find yourself with a baby in need of care, use both hands to cup the baby securely and place it into a small box or container with air holes. Provide clean T-shirt type material and nest the babies. Place the container in a quiet room and keep the babies warm. Do not let children or pets visit the babies. Please do not attempt to feed or care for any infant. Call the nearest rehabilitation center for directions on what to do next."

Rabbits are independent from their mother at 2 weeks of age. Does it still have a white spot on top of it's head...if yes...get kitten replacement milk and bottle feed. But like I said, rabbits are weened and on their own at 2 weeks of age.
Treat it like you would any other rabbit. Unless they aren't fluffy yet, if that is the case they will probably die.
You can call the wildlife department in your area or call a local vet and they will be able to give you assistance.
Dont care for the rabbit yourself. Call your areas wildlife rescue and they will send someone for it. They have the knowlege and iunformation to properly care for it without allowing it to become tame.. which will increase its chances for survival upon release into its own habitat.
Actaullay jack rabbits are ready to leave the nest as soon as thier eyes are open. It takes them 9 weeks before they are sexually mature. Take them to your local animal shelter and they will either take care of them themselves of find a wild animal sanctuary. I have reared many wild animals myself but have been properly trained to do so. Your animal shelter knows how. Good luck.
The best thing to do is take them to an animals sanqutary. I have tried to take care of baby rabbits and they die. They need to be feed constantly. At least once an hour. If you are going to keep it then get baby milk especially formulted for animals. Feed it out of a little bottle and keep it in a warm safe place at nigtht. Good Luck! I hope it lives!
i have tried to rays many baby Bunny's. if u want to do what is best for the bunny tack it right to the vet.
