Our hands have some salt, and when we sweat, we prduce salt, so hamsters, being blind, they could have mistaken your hands as food, but you can train it not to bite.

he is scared, that's why they bite, if it dosn't improve, get rid of him and get a female. I have 3 syrians and they don't bite, and wash your hands before handling them and after.
