Why did my Golden Hampsters try to kill each other literally2007-11-24 22:19:15Answers:

Hamsters are extremely territorial. They may be okay when they are young and siblings, but later, they will likely do what you are experiencing - kill each other.

im assuming they are older and the same sex. they will do that. hamsters are better in a cage alone. they are very territorial.
well golden hamsters shoudlnt be housed together because they fight and the only type of hammy that can actully be housed in the same cages are any type of dwarfs.they will do that because those hammy's like there own space.if u dont want on or both of them to die then seperate them because the will i repeat the will fight to the death with blood!!

good luck!!

Hamsters are solitary animals. They only find a mate to breed, then go back to being alone.
Golden hamster is another name for Syrian hamster. Syrians CANNOT be housed together. They are solitary creatures.

If you had done research on this hamster before you bought it you would have know the answer.
