well some hamsters cant live togther

and maybe thats why

cause I had a both female and male shorthaired siberians and they live together in one caged

and the male died within a week,

because they were fighting and i didnt know that they could be put in a cage together.

Most rodents will chew/eat other rodents if they die. I had that happen with a mouse. Males and females generally shouldn't be housed together as they don't get along well, outside of mating and can be aggressive toward one another. Female hamsters eat their young if they think there isn't enough food. Perhaps she didn't think there was enough food for the two of them to live in there together. Maybe they were fighting and she killed him because she didn't want a male in her cage.

Whatever the reason, she killed the male and ate him after he died. If you plan on introducing new hamsters in to the cage, get a female, provide plenty of food and monitor them closely. If they fight, your hamster just can't have a roommate.

that depends on if they just had a litter of babies, if they did its normal, though it may seem weird, you always have to separate the two after they reproduce because they will eat each other.
