Why did my guinea pig died2007-11-24 22:19:15

so i went to vegas for 5 days and i have 2 piggies they were both fine and then when i came back my mom said that one of them wasnt eating and she peed on her self and her eyes were tearing white stuff when i came home my mom said she was doing any of that till that day in the morning about 2 hours later she died? she was 3 years old do u know what it was ? also i still have my other one so i got one left and i was wondering does this mean she is going to die now too or whats going to happen to her im sad :( thanks for u help

probably an upper respiratory infection, mine died from the same thing :( and it sounds the same as what he was acting like.

Edit: You should keep a very close eye on your remaining pig and if it shows any signs of being sick take it to a vet.

well your mom should have taken or at least called your vet right when she found out it wasnt eating..especially when she saw its eyes tearing "white stuff"..there was obviously something wrong and it needed medical attention.

Also, your other guinea pig may become depressed without its partner..so if a all possible I would get another guinea pig for it to live with.

MAYBE SICK OR CAUGHT DISEASE YOU MUST BRING IT TO THE VET.

I'm really sorry about your guinea pig, and i don't have 1, so i can't help much, but try asking ur vet. He could probobly tell u.
