Why did my hamster trap its self
Well I thought he was cat food but last night I heard this scratching noise and I looked at the hamster cage and my hamster brownii was there. He was in the aquarium and the aquarium is 10 in. tall. I dont know how it got in there,I have two hamster cages since I had fluffy and brownii and they are right next to eachother [the hamster cages] And brownii had the cage with the bars and stuff and fluffy had the aquarium fluffys still gone, I have to admit brownii is the smartest hamster I ever had. How is this possible and know one put him in the aquarium did he know he was indanger and came back but how did he get in there
Answers:Awwww your hamster might have missed you. Or he might have came back in the cage for food and water, or maybe he was afraid of the cat.
Was there a lid on the aquarium? If there is, I'm amazed that the hamsters could escape or get back in.
Hamsters cannot climb glass aquariums, so there must have been something climable leading up too it, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know exactly where the cage is located, so I can't tell this for sure. It would be nice if I was given more information so I could answer the question better.
No one here can really answer you question. We would need an entire mental picture of the area around your aquarium, his abilities, and how he might have escaped.
Sorry!
