When there is more than two people in the room my piggies get on each others nerves and start chattering their teeth.
And then when their is just me they are best buds!
Why?? ?? ??
Answers:they are most likely just nervous.. maybe try covering their cage with a sheet when there are a bunch of people in the room so that they feel more secure
Guinea pigs are pray animals, and they are skittish and afraid most of the time. Too much noise could be irritating them .
Could be the change in the noise level, the scent of someone's perfume/cologne, or just a lack of trust with other people.
They are nervous, and if you'd try to pick them up, it's a safe bet that they'd be aggressive towards you. Mine hated it when my nieces and nephews would come over, even if it was just one of them, but they weren't as bad around adults.
