Why do people bother with gerbils and hamsterswhats the point2007-11-24 22:19:46

i hate how poeple think rats are gross and iky but they are very kind hearted and sweet if you acutally take the time to bond with them

i dont like hamsters or gerbils,

and i think chinchillas are also very sweet and smart like rats.

i dont no what the point is with gerbils or hamhams, but some poeple love and adore them and the hamster will show love back. (( my opion vs. thousands))

I am assuming that this is a serious question...so I will answer it seriously...people "bother" with hamsters and gerbils because they are very cute critters, easy to maintain, and very loving. For children, they make great pets and teach them responsibility and are very affordable. To each his own I guess is the answer here.people like what they like..

I have a Siberian hamster called Basil. He has a long tail and the restaurant manager has a fit when I let him run in his dining room

Hamsters and gerbils are very loving little things.

I have owned four gerbils but I was quite young at the time so I can't remember what they were like but I can remember my hamsters.

One of them in particular was a very loving little thing, once I went on holiday and when I came back she went mad with delight, she ran all over me and it was quiet clear that she was saying 'good to have you back'.
