Why does my guinea pig squeak2007-11-24 22:19:21Answers:

We had two at one time...either they wanted attention or were excited when we got home from work and knew they were going to be played with.

Guinea pigs squeak when they want attention or food. It's not uncommon for one to squeak when it hears the fridge door open and close, or to squeak when it hears plastic bags rustling (because they've learned that their fruits and veggies often appear after they've heard plastic bags rustling). They also squeak when they're playing with each other.
