Why does my moms boyfriend wants to get rid of my guinea pig2007-11-24 22:19:25

Jody,the guy i'm talking about is saying "GET RID OF THAT RAT!".Why he loves that pet he cuddles it and just spoils it with love.

Why does he hate it??

Could he be teasing you to try and build up a relationship with you?

He may think that if he can set up a relationship with you as a step daughter it will do him good with your mom, he thinks that teasing you is the way to do this.

Tell him not to be silly and joke about it with him, don't get upset as this will probably upset him and your mom.

Most men that do not have children find it hard to react correctly with a young person.

Hi From the Chesapeake Guinea Pig Rescue! This is a common comment from men. They like to act like they don't like the littles guys, but really do. I think he is just trying to tease you. Try responding to his comment by saying " oh come on, we all know you like the little guy! Quit trying to sound so tough. Watch for his smile. Good luck ( also ask his advice about you pig. like "can you get him to eat a green pepper.") if he can he will feel like he has a special bond with the pig.
