Why is my guinea pig dying2007-11-24 22:19:58

As write this my guinea pig is dying in front of me he is only 6 months old and was the runt of his litter he never grew very pig and is the size of a large teddy hampster. he can bearly stand and when he does his back is severly arched his breathing is shallow and his eyes almost closed whats wrong with him??

Answers:

Please take him to a vet and have him put down. He probably wasnt born healthy and you are making him suffer. Do the right thing for him.

first i want to say sorry... well i have two of them and that isent good that hes that small maybe he wasnt made to last that long and maybe its too hot im the house and maybe well it sounds like he is growing still on the inside maybe thats why his back is so arched ...sorry but hope is still up..

i have to agree, perhaps he didnt develop as well as his siblings. just like human babies are born with under developed lungs and vital organs, it occurs to animals too. I beg you to take him to a vet and get him euthanized. He is probably in a lot of pain and discomfort. Poor Baby :(

You wouldnt let a human infant suffer like this would you? I hope you do the right thing.

give him toys or something to have him occupied w/. maybe its the change of weather? the best thing to do would be to take him to the vet.
