She is shedding is it because it's summer time?

Rats do moult, but usually not very noticeably. If she's just leaving a few hairs behind where she sleeps then that's fine. If her coat goes out of condition then you might want to get her checked over, or take a fresh look at her diet.

If it is the same for your rat as it is for a dog, I would think that your rat is shedding because it is trying to lose the unecessary hair. Yes, it is summer and too hot for all that extra hair that used to keep your sweet pet warm in the winter. If you are really concerned, perhaps you should take them too the vet. your ratshould not be shedding notacably, that is from stress or desise, unfortunetly rats deseise from the inside out, if you can see simptoms ont the outsides the insides are destroyed

you have to clean him or he will do it him selve. he may also be a different type of rat. talk to your vet about what to do more then coming.
