Too many buy pets on an impulse, know nothing about them or the amount of care they require.and the animals suffer for it.

I like my animals better than most people I know. : ) Anyone that can say, "It's 'just' a hamster" should be subjected to the same treatment the hamster receives, and see if they feel like "just a human".

I totally agree, it drives me insane when people are saying that their hamster is almost dead, what should they do.YOU TAKE IT TO THE VET YOU IDIOT!

i am so with you on this subject. I find it so frustrating that people post questions about the state of their pets health when the only person who can possibly answer this is a vet!

One thing that also upsets me is the ammount of people seeking advice because they cant afford to take their pets to the vets. I just cant believe a person would take on the responsibility of an animals life knowing that they cant help the animal if it becomes sick.

I have a hamster. Ok, he is not as big as a cat or dog, and does not live as long. But I took on the responsibility of caring and loving my fat furball and would never waste any time taking him to the vet if anything was wrong. Infact I fork out money every 6 months for him to have a general health check up with a small animal specialist.
