Answers:cute name!
here is one logical explanation.
when you got her, did you touch her in her first five days? if so, she was probably not handled well.
but if you didnt handle her for the five days, she is probably a little scared. my hamsters do that a little. but lift her up gently, stroke her back but don't give her too many treats for she will get fat. if you stroke her back, she will like you some more. if your hands are shaking when you pick her up, she might feel scared.(you would too if there was a giant shaking thing in your house trying to pick you up) just be more gentle. oh, and let her smell you a little bit. she'll get used to tou.
well you should try to handle her better. if you dropped her before (or jumps out) she will probally not trust you as much everytime she jumps out!
take your time .. give her treats first and stroke her she will get used to yo soon xx
hamsters are nocturnal. u probably wouldnt like it if someone picked u up at 4 o the morning. try holding her late evening, early night hours. (8-1) she wil still be nervous, bu tnot as bad. good luck and God bless
Hamsters are naturally afraid of you if you keep trying to hold her and love on her maybe she will calm down. But hamsters in general are very active and fast so make sure you catch her before she falls. My sister used to have a hamster that would sit and watch TV.
previous bad sexual experience, always the way with those bloody hamsters...they never let it go
Don't take her out of the cage but put your hand in with a treat on it eventually she will come and take it. Also put something of yours made of cotton into her cage, it will have your smell on it. When eventually she climbs on your hand try cupping your other hand around her and then you can take her out. She may have been treated badly from whoever you got her from or just not handled from a baby. Patience will pay off then you and your hamster can play. Good luck
ours was the same a right nutter, so we fed her by hand to get her use to us, then would hold the food in our palms of our hands the hamster started to walk on our hand to eat, after a week of doing the we got to the point where we could hold her, it takes time but if you follow these rules with food it does work, we ask the pet shop, did all the above and it worked
