once they get used to you they will fall asleep on your lap
well ok that may because she doesnt like you.
she is frightend
give her her space so she can adopt
She is not used to being handled, sit with her on a chair with a table under her and only hold her for a minute, keep talking to her and strokinh her, gradually build it up
she's confused..she thinks your fingers are gigantic carrots which have inexplicably come to life!!
get her an exercise ball, then let her run on your bed so you can pet her, my new cats name is twinkle
