The funny thing is that he doesn't get mite, he keeps pretty clean, he does his feces in a nice neat corner and he doesn't urinate all over himself and I don't feed him anything that would irritate his skin.
Also yes I've tried trimming his nails but they just grow and it's hardwork and I have a brick in his cage for his claws too.
Answers:make sure you don't use harsh cleaners on the cage, and avoid anything which may cause irritation as bedding ect. Also if he has had mites perviously they can hide in wooden surfaces for a long time and may come back.
Another thing is excessive grooming normally caused by boredom, make sure he has plenty of things to chew up and destroy when you aren't there.
