Wild Mouse

I would suggest if you want a pet mouse...go to a pet store and get one. They are only a few dollars, free of diseases, and are domestically raised so that they will be used to being in a cage.

Wild mice prefer to be outdoors, where they belong. Putting a wild mouse into a cage, is like making you like outdoors. If you do decide to get another mouse...clean out the cage that you have the wild one in, as diseases could have gone into the cage.

Either that or just get a new cage.

its not advised to keep wild mice as pets aas they are not tame and will bite, they can carry many parrasites and deseases and the stress alone on the poor mouse could kill it or at least shorten its life, because to a wild mouse people are predators who want to kill them so think how it will feel being kept around people.
THose other people are being dumb! I caught 4 wild mice humanely in my house and put them in a cage. They were great pets! PLUS, it is better for them, because if you keep them they wont die of hunger. And if you put a wheel in there they will love it. My mice ran on it all the time. TRUST ME, I have had mice for the longest time and being pets they live better lives! And if all the other answers for this questionDidn't want u to keep them then why would mice be sold at places like PETCO! I think its great to keep the mice. If you let them out in the wild they'll just get eaten by an owl or smething.
I'm not sure about diseases that he might have, but when I was little I tried to keep wild mice as pets a few times, and it never worked. They are naturally afraid of humans and will be very stressed in captivity, and will likely die from shock or the stress. Domestic mice do make very good little pets, so if you want one I'd suggest heading to the pet store for a tame one (they only cost a few bucks). Let this one go somewhere away from your home where he can live in the wild.
We found a baby about 4 weeks ago, bottle fed him and all. He's a bit skittish, but he's doing good. He likes to sit on your shoulder, pooping and peeing all the while LOL.

If the mouse was young I'd say yes, you could try to raise and keep it. You should probably take it far from your home and release it (somewhere near water). Go to your pet store and buy a rat. They're smarter, cleaner, and live longer. Once you go rat, you never go back. =)
