Wild baby mouse found Um2007-11-24 22:19:34

I went to get the mail and came back to find my dad found a wild baby mouse. Well, young adult? I don't know. It's the size of a mini candy bar. we have it in a large, large jar right now. I put some crumpled up cheese(I don't know what kinda, but it's not American) and some evaporated milk in the jar. It nibbles on the cheese and drinks the milk, but I want to make sure it won't kill it or anything.

Any advice on what else to do with it or feed it? Or anything?

I live on the mountains so I can't go to a vet or get supplies, and we go to Lewiston next week so if I need anything minor I can get it.

That sounds like a regular mouse. Just set it free outside. It will be fine.

Cheese and milk are really not the best things to feed it. When you go to Lewiston, you should pick up some hamster food and a self dispensing water bottle. For right now, you can feed it bread or oats. Make sure you give it water to drink, no more milk.

it will be fine...just let it go in the woods. It sounds like an adult to me, because mice are really small. It would be better off in the wild anyways. If you cant get ot a petstore, than you wont be able to get it mouse food, or a proper cage or anything, so it wont survive long in your care...sorry

so just let it go in the wild so it can be happy
