Cheese and milk (Or any dairy product really) is not healthy for mice and rats. (Cartoons lie)

Just set it free, it sounds like it's big enough to take care of itself, and it's a wild animal anyway. Wild mice/rats do not usually make good pets, and won't be happy in captivity.

Just let it go in a safe area away from people/animals. I commend you on caring for this little mouse. :) You can set it free and ensure it's happy in the wild.

i dont recommend keeping the mouse if you get bitten you could get a disease it was from the wild so you really dont know what has been in its mouth after all disease is a risk even for store bought hamsters imagine from the wild.

OMG! If it's a wild mouse you can't keep it as a pet in a jar. You need to take it away from the house (you don't want an infestation) and let it go. It needs a proper diest that it will be able to eat in the wild ... and mice dont actually eat cheese (or like i very much) or drink milk. The mouse will die if you dont let it go... why was it caught in the first place ?!?!

ok this will be fun..

when i was 9 years old i found a wild baby mouse by my neighboors house. i named it muffin and became strongly attached. but after one week it passed. i know you want a good life short or long for your new mouse. keep giving it what you have been. keep it in a good sized space. (cage,jar). when you go to town or someplace try and find some bedding (shredded pieces of wood, really thin) or something like that. don't give it pine or ceader wood though, it shortens their life expectencie (s?). just try to keep it safe AND INSIDE YOUR HOUSE.
